SECRET wedding! Secret WEDDING! Seeeeeeeeecret! Weeeeeeeeeedding! A secret wedding has taken place between Amy Schumer, notable comedian, and Chris Fischer, a chef. The wedding was not a secret to them, of course. They for sure knew that they were getting married. It was kept from the press and Schumer’s fans until shortly after “I do” on Tuesday, Us Weekly reports. Schumer confirmed the rumored nuptials with an Instagram post on Thursday that read, “Yup.”

It appears America‘s sweetheart, comedian John Early, married them in character (as “Vicky” or “Vicky with a V”), and Schumer’s dog, Tati, and another pup also walked down the aisle (Tati was wearing a veil, whereas Schumer opted to simply pull her hair back in a half-up ‘do). Celebrities attended the wedding, as celebrities are wont to do when one of their legion is married. Those celebrities included Larry David, Judd Apatow, Jennifer Aniston, David Spade, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Schumer’s close personal friend Jennifer Lawrence. Schumer wore a Monique Lhuillier dress that her longtime stylist, Leesa Evans, helped pick out.

The whole relationship was relatively secret, by design or by truancy on the part of the tabloids. They were photographed together in November of last year, but really only announced their togetherness via photo booth at Ellen Degeneres’s 60th birthday ball this past weekend. Fischer’s sister is Schumer’s assistant, so that’s likely how they met.

Though Fischer is far more anonymous than many of the big names who attended his wedding, his biography is full of fun facts that will surely be an Us Weekly sidebar in short order. For example, did you know Fischer used to work for—yikesMario Batali at Babbo as a sous chef. They were introduced through Gyllenhaal, a friend! Now the chef and cookbook author lives at, owns, and operates a place called Beetlebung Farm in Martha’s Vineyard. And yes, Martha’s Vineyard aficionados Michelle and Barack Obama have dined at his restaurant, the Beach Plum Inn restaurant.
